Short Bio

With over 40 years of experience, and leading dental practices in New York City and East Hampton, N.Y., internationally acclaimed restorative and cosmetic dentist, best-selling author, pioneering researcher, and humanitarian, Dr. Gerry Curatola is often referred to as the “father of biologic dentistry” and a leading expert on the new science of the oral microbiome. He is the founder and Chief Science Officer (CSO) of Revitin Life Sciences and introduced Revitin toothpaste, the first prebiotic dental formulation designed to promote microbial homeostasis, an essential bioregulatory process for oral health.

Dr. Curatola is consistently listed in the Guide to America’s Top Dentists, the Leading Physicians of The World, Marquis Who’s Who in America, and New York’s Top Dentists. He is the recipient of the Acton Medal by NYU for outstanding contributions to New York University and he established The Curatola Wing For Clinical Research at NYU in 2006 furthering translational research on the human microbiome.
